My
Leadership Philosophy
I believe that people, like all things in nature,
are unique and grow in many directions, and that effective leaders are more like
gardeners than mechanics. They realize that organizations are built of living, unique
human beings who thrive in enriching environments.
Authentic leadership is
about taking the time to understand ourselves and others, then maintaining the desire
to keep on learning about ourselves and the people we serve. So, leadership development
is really personal development. It's about who we're being while we're doing what we're doing.
Business success in our new global economy
requires the enthusiastic contribution and commitment of employees who find meaning
